Verducci’s beginnings were in Porto S. Elpidio, Italy; a coastal town nestled between over 200 walking shoe cobblers. The right place for the birthplace of the research, design and development facility of Verducci inline shoes.
Our original thesis was quite simple – make an inline boot that fit like a shoe. Through the process of extensive manipulations to a shoe last (which is what the carbon is built on) and the delivery of performance gains thought impossible by standard construction methods, we perfected the craft of boot making. This resulted in our anatomical and fully moldable carbon shell radically altering the conventional wisdom of the inline-racing world.
Thirteen years later, in 2005, we are still waiting for the rest of the skating world to catch up. To say we are extreme in our commitment to detail is no exaggeration. Every element of our design, right down to the personalized eyelets, has been isolated and analyzed to the nth degree. We’ve always looked to skaters for inspiration or answers. If a solution isn't part of conventional thinking, we create one that is. As a result of our efforts Verducci shoes have captured well over 50 world titles.
But our work does not start in an isolated laboratory, and our shoes are no Frankenstein’s. Our innovation starts on the track. Each new design is tested by the best skaters in the world, in a variety of different environments (sprints, marathons, inside, outside).
No matter how good an idea looks on paper, if it doesn't pass these field tests, it doesn't go to market. We design each component to satisfy the skater, and our boots are a reflection of this philosophy. This philosophy is simple: we strive to make shoes that are as light as possible without impairing durability or sacrificing performance to excessive carbon flex. And everything that Verducci does is executed at a level of quality that is second to none.
